This month's issue is about COBRA - COBRA - COBRA ! ! !

As you know, the Senate has approved the Economic Stimulus Package, which has a provision that makes sweeping changes to the existing COBRA Laws.

The law calls for these changes to be in effect 03/01/09, but there are no details yet as to exactly what these changes are, who they affect, and how they are to be implemented. For this reason, there is a 60-Day Grace Period while we all sort these questions out.

One thing we are sure of is that these changes will mean more work both for Employers and COBRA Administrators. We hope that these changes bring about the intended positive results on our economy that the government is attempting to enact.
